PFG Founder
Pastor R. Wayne Andersen was commissioned in 1993 to the work of church planting in Mexico.

Upon his arrival in Mexico with a small printing press in the back of his truck and a profound sense for the need of sound, reformed literature in Latin America, Pastor Andersen immediately began printing and publishing reformed literature in Spanish.

In July of 1998, Pastor Andersen formalized the work of the international literature ministry by founding Publicaciones Faro de Gracia (PFG) as a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, for which he now serves as President and a Director. Under Wayne’s leadership, PFG has gained recognition as a viable and credible publisher and distributor of sound, reformed literature throughout Latin America.

At the time of its founding, Wayne brought to PFG not only eighteen years experience as a pastor, but also over twenty years experience in printing and publishing. Starting at the age of fifteen, Wayne worked in commercial printing shops, beginning as pressman and later working in every area of printing: graphic design, layout, darkroom, bindery, production control and general management.

Prior to founding PFG, Wayne personally printed over 50,000 books in Mexico. Since founding PFG he has overseen the operations of the ministry, which has grown to publishing over thirty titles and has established distribution of over 1500 additional sound, reformed titles in seventeen Latin countries, Spain and the U.S.

The experience, knowledge and contacts that Wayne has gained in his past fifteen years in Latin America will be essential to the leadership of the ministry going forward. During this time, Wayne has studied, preached, read, translated and communicated daily in Spanish, achieving advanced abilities in the language, which is critical to the work of the ministry considering the vital issue of quality of translation, with respect to theological, linguistic, and cultural accuracy.

Additionally, as a church planting pastor, Wayne has labored beside Mexican pastors and among Latin evangelicals, conducting church services, home Bible studies, pastoral training conferences and distributing literature. Through this work he has gained an intimate understanding of the Latin American evangelical culture.

Wayne currently serves as pastor of La Iglesia Bautista de la Gracia y Verdad (Grace and Truth Baptist Church), which he began upon his arrival to Mexico City. La Iglesia Bautista de la Gracia y Verdad was constituted in Coyoacan, Mexico City as a confessional church.

Additionally, Wayne has traveled to and been asked to speak at dozens of pastors conferences, conventions, and book fairs in many of the Latin countries. During the course of these travels he has established relationships which have opened distribution channels, as well as initiated discussions with key individuals regarding the current challenges of this work and the ways in which they need to be addressed.

In 2004, Letra Viva, a network of Latin publishers, elected Wayne to serve on their executive board.
"As God hath appointed the elect unto glory, so he hath, by the eternal and most free purpose of his will, foreordained all the means thereunto; wherefore they who are elected, being fallen in Adam, are redeemed by Christ, are effectually called unto faith in Christ, by his Spirit working in due season, are justified, adopted, sanctified, and kept by his power through faith unto salvation; neither are any other redeemed by Christ, or effectually called, justified, adopted, sanctified, and saved, but the elect only." - 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith
