Pastoral Bookshare Program Indigenous pastors laboring in Latin America do not have the resources with which to purchase a “pastoral library.” PFG seeks to work with other credible ministries with missionaries laboring in the Latin countries to distribute sound, reformed literature to indigenous pastors through the PFG BookShare Program. In Cuba, PFG has worked with Action International Ministries who provided 1,000 copies of J. I. Packer’s Evangelism and the Sovereignty of God. PFG also recently completed a BookShare Program in Cuba in which a set of ten Puritan classics, translated and published in Spanish by PFG, were distributed to hundreds of indigenous pastors via direct mail. The cost of publishing and shipping was paid for through donations from churches and individuals so that there was no cost to the pastors. PFG was recently contacted by HeartCry Missionary Society, a church-commissioned ministry in Muscle Shoals, AL, to place books in the hands of Peruvian pastors. HeartCry is a ministry directly accountable to the First Baptist Church of Muscle Shoals. They are laboring on four continents, including Latin America, specifically in Peru. HeartCry currently supports 17 missionaries in Peru and has developed a network of 600 indigenous Peruvian pastors. HeartCry has asked PFG to provide a “pastor’s library” for these men, which they have committed to distribute. Lord willing, with your support PFG will provide a set of the same ten Puritan titles distributed in the Cuban BookShare Program for the 600 Peruvian pastors, plus an additional set of six NT Commentaries published by Evangelical Press (EP), Spain. The total cost of providing the 9,600 books for this program, including shipping, is U.S. $24,000 - $40 per pastor.
